Research Interests:
Our project is developing assistive technology using mainstream ICT, such as mobile phones, PCs, and the Internet. This approach aims at promoting the use of assistive technology globally including in developing countries where minority languages are used. Technology empowers not only physical aspect but also psychological aspect of the user; helping them to promote self-confidence and find their potential of greater success, which will increase positive views toward diversity in the society.
The main themes include:
(1) Communication support system in care settings using mobile phones and Internet
(2) Development of assistive technology for developing countries and minority languages
(3) Development of ICT-based assistive technology for learning
