Principal areas of collaboration

An MOU on academic exchange was concluded with the Institute for Security and Development Policy (ISDP), Sweden. The parties expressed their commitment to enhancing cooperation, particularly between the RCAST Open Laboratory for Emergence Strategies (ROLES) and the Stockholm Centre for South Asia and Indo-Pacific (SCSA-IPA) within ISDP.

The areas of collaborative research will include Europe–Asia relations, Japan’s foreign relations, Japan–India security cooperation, and India–Japan cooperation in the Middle East.
Working in partnership with the Stockholm Centre for South Asia and Indo-Pacific (SCSA-IPA), a research center established within a leading Western European policy institute, we will advance research on the Indo-Pacific, a region of central importance to Japan’s foreign and security policy. The results of this collaboration will be shared with the international community through public lectures, seminars, symposia, and the publication of jointly authored and edited volumes.
