Principal areas of collaboration

Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology of the University of Tokyo and Institute for Security and Development Policy has concluded a MOU on academic exchange in August 2021.

In this MOU, expected joint research activities particularly between RCAST Open Laboratory for Emergence Strategies (ROLES) and the Stockholm Centre for South Asia and Indo-Pacific (SCSA-IPA) of ISDP are stipulated.

The intended field of research for cooperation is largely on Indo-Pacific affairs, including policy-oriented studies on Euro-Asia relations, Japan’s international role, Japan-India cooperation in the security sssues, and India-Japan cooperation in the Middle East. In promoting cooperation, exchange of researchers, exchange of academic information and materials, joint lectures, seminars, symposia and joint publications are to be conducted.
