  Professor Hiroyuki Aburatani (Genome Science) and researchers from the
  National Cancer Center Research Institute and the Baylor College of
  Medicine analyzed the 608 liver cancer cases and identified the
  mutational pattern associated in the disease in Japanese. The article is
  now on "Nature genetics". (in Japanese)

  Emeritus Professor Toshiro Fujita (Division of Clinical Epigenetics)'s
  authored paper, "Anti-albuminuric effect of the aldosterone blocker
  eplerenone in non-diabetic hypertensive patients with albuminuria: a
  double-blind, randomised, placebo-controlled trial" has been published
  in "The Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology". (in Japanese)

*Professor Yukio Nishimura (Urban Conservation Systems) has been
  appointed Consultant on International Affairs from Ministry of Culture,
  Republic of China (Taiwan). The appointment letter handed to Prof.
  Nishimura on 19 Nov, 2014.

*Professor Yasunobu Nakamura (Quantum Information Physics and Engineering)
  was honored with the 11th Reona Esaki Award. The awards ceremony was
  held in Tsukuba on 17 Nov.

*29 junior high school students from toritsu Musashi participated RCAST
  research tour on13 Nov.

*54 Indian high school students visited RCAST as JENESYS 2.0 program on
  12 Nov.

*Special seminars were held by the newly-appointed RCAST fellows, Dr.
  Jacob Taylor and Prof. Ping Chang 12,21 Nov.

*The RCAST Board constantly monitors the state of RCAST's operations,
  assesses the Director's management based on its medium to long-term
  prospects and gives relevant advice to the Director. 2014 board meeting
  was held on 29 Oct.

## TV ##

  Project Professor Hideyuki Akaza (Dynamics of Life Chemistry
  International Strategy on Comprehensive Cancer) appeared on TV ASAHI
  "Morning bird" and explained about the bladder cancer on 14 Nov.

  Project Lecturer Shinichiro Kumagaya (Barrier Free) appeared on NHK TV
  program "NHIK OIKONOMIA". (in Japanese)

  article on Nihon Keizai Shimbun (17 Nov).

  Professor Yasunobu Nakamura (Quantum Information Physics and Engineering)
