RCAST Security Seminar #02　"Cyber Terrorism: How real is the threat?"

RCAST is pleased to invite you to a colloquium by Mr. Daniel Cohen, an expert specializing in cyber security and counter-terrorism. His presentation will review current trends of cyber terrorism in the Middle East and current threats and challenges posed by terrorist use of the Internet and social media including the emerging cyber technologies that could be abused by terrorists for terrorist activities. He will also examine ways to develop and implement coordinated international capacity building efforts and potential use of ICT as a tool for countering terrorist organization's use of cyber space.

Speaker: Daniel Cohen, Senior Researcher, Blavatnik Interdisciplinary Cyber Research Center (ICRC) and Yuval Ne'eman Workshop for Science, Technology and Security, Tel Aviv University. He is also the Head of Strategy and Intelligence program at the Abba Eban Institute for International Diplomacy, IDC Herzliya, and serves as a Consultant/ Expert on Violent Extremism and Radicalization for the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
