AY2023 Autumn Semester Diploma Presentation of Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies

On Friday, September 22, the AY2023 Autumn Semester Diploma Presentation of Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies was held in the auditorium of RCAST Building 13.

Professor Tatsuya HARADA, director of Managing Committee, handed out the diplomas to the graduate students who had completed their doctors and congratulated them.

In his congratulatory address, Professor Masakazu Sugiyama, director of the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology, emphasized the importance of human resources and innovation in science and technology and encouraged the graduates on fulfilling leadership roles that will lead to a bright and sustainable future. He continued by citing an actual question-and-answer session with ChatGPT, a Generative AI, as an example of the general answers, and expressed his confidence that the graduates will find their own answers in their future activities, emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary cooperation, communication skills, and adaptability. Professor Sugiyama concluded his remarks by expressing how important it is for the graduates to apply what they have learned in advanced interdisciplinary engineering to take on the complex challenges of today's world with their newfound personal strengths, and expressed his hopes for the future success of these graduates.
