Research Interests
Due to the escalating hegemonic competition over emerging technologies and international order between the U.S. and China, economic security policies have drastically changed and creative policy-making that at times may go against economic rationality is required. Other country’s economies have been affected by this, which has resulted in making economic security policies for mitigating the risks of a new type of competition.
However, there is no history of making economic security policies in Japan so there is no accumulated capacity for this type of policy making. It is necessary to build capacity for analyzing other country’s policies of economic security and designing one’s own country’s policy from now on. In this research program, we will be developing the framework for constructing the policies of economic security and organizing approaches for making national policies as well as conducting corporate management.
