Regional Co-Creation Living Lab
Regional co-creation leads to cutting-edge research and solutions to social issues
While efforts to realize the SDGs are underway in many regions, issues related to daily life are piling up and becoming increasingly complex. To cope with this situation, people from various perspectives must continuously gather in real-life spaces and communities and aim to resolve issues from a long-term perspective through repeated interactions. From this standpoint, the Living Lab is a place for open and trial activities. The RCAST has accumulated knowledge in more than 40 interdisciplinary research fields and a network of more than 30 regions with comprehensive cooperation agreements. The "Regional Co-Creation Living Lab" was established in November 2018 as an organization that combines the RCAST-based know-how of various and original regional partnerships. Through the Living Lab, we have fostered dynamic and flat dialogue relationships among people involved in regional issues. From FY2024, we will work to expand the relationships horizontally across the region and engage in activities that will grow the collaboration into co-creation.
