RCAST is pleased to invite you to a lecture by Prof. Akifumi Ikeda, a leading political scientist specialized in Israeli politics and international security of the Middle East. He talks about current Israeli politics and its policy on regional and international security. Lecture will be followed by reception.

Speakers Bio:
Professor Akifumi Ikeda is President of Toyo-Eiwa University in Yokohama, Japan. He teaches International Relations and Contemporary Middle Eastern Politics. He has been a leading scholar on Israeli politics and its security policy. He was involved in many confidence building measures sponsored by Japanese governmental agencies and NGOs mediating between Israel and Palestinian people. He was a Visiting Research Fellow at Harry S. Truman Institute for the Advancement of Peace, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel in 1984-86, and again in 1995-96. He serves as a Vice President of the Japan Israel Friendship Association (JIFA).
