OSA Fellows are a distinguished group of members who have served with distinction in the advancement of optics and photonics, and are selected based on several factors, including contributions to education, research, engineering, business and the community. Fewer than 0.5% of the members are selected each year for their outstanding achievements in the field, unparalleled experience and knowledge, and their achievements for reform and progress, making each year’s honorees a highly selective group.
