Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology, and The University of Queensland (UQ) have concluded an agreement to exchange researchers and students, conduct collaborative research, and exchange academic information. RCAST will focus on activities with UQ's Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (AIBN) while aiming to further expand academic exchanges with several research institutions at the university.
The University of Queensland, established in 1909 in Brisbane, the capital of Queensland (QLD), is the oldest university in the state and one of Australia’s leading research-intensive universities, known as the Group of Eight (Go8). AIBN is a cross-disciplinary research institute that is committed to interdisciplinary fusion and social co-creation. Through this agreement, we will engage in a mutual exchange of researchers and students in the fields of biomedical chemistry, renewable energy, hydrogen and biofuels, etc.
On September 15, in Tokyo, Professor Masakazu Sugiyama, Director of RCAST, and Professor Alan Rowan, Director of AIBN, signed the agreement with Queensland Treasurer Cameron Dick and also attended the signing ceremony.
