RCAST and Arizona State University Begin Large-Scale Solar Energy Project

  • RCAST Report

September 6, 2011

RCAST and Arizona State University (ASU) have begun work on the Quantum Energy and Sustainable Solar Technology (QESST) project to develop highly efficient quantum energy voltaic cells on a large scale at the new Energy Research Center, a national center led by the American university and supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Department of Energy (DOE) of the United States. RCAST entered into an agreement with related departments at Arizona State University in February 2010, after which researcher exchange programs began. Since then the two universities have collaborated on research and development of highly efficient photovoltaic cells and the collection devices essential to those cells. RCAST and ASU plan to continue research and development of solar energy through enhanced international cooperation.
