Visit of Prof. Yves Brechet, High Commissioner for Atomic Energy at CEA

On October 11th, 2013, Prof. Yves Brechet, High Commissioner for Atomic Energy at CEA visited the "Laboratoire International Associe" (or "LIA") NextPV.
The French delegation accompanying Prof. Brechet included Jacques Maleval, the new Scientific Counselor at the Embassy of France in Japan, Evelyne Etchebehere, Scientific Attachee, Yan Gallais and Bruno Paing, Attaches CEA-DRT at the Embassy, and Guy Faure, head of the CNRS office in Tokyo.
Prof. Yukio Nishimura, Director General of the RCAST, first welcomed Prof. Brechet, giving a presentation of the Center. During the next 15 min, Prof. Pierre Destruel explained ""Why NextPV?"" and what are the objectives of the LIA. In his conclusion, he discussed future plans concerning the opening of NextPV to other sources of renewable energies. The oral presentations were followed by a tour of Prof. Segawa and Prof. Okada's Laboratories. Prof. Brechet and the delegation were deeply impressed to see the results of the collaborative research between France and Japan.
