Research Interests
Our research laboratory focuses on building a high-level user interface that unites human and computer, called Cybernetic Interface. Starting with virtual reality technology (VR), we seek to research and develop such interface in detail. Specifically, we are designing multimodal interfaces, mixed reality (MR) research, wearable computers, and contents for ubiquitous computing research.
Furthermore, as a part of our mixed reality research, we are working on real-world oriented virtual reality interfaces, such as a distributed wide-screen display system that enriches the openness and spacious nature of real world environments, and a material-based display that facilitates tangible interaction in real-world environments.
