Research Interests
Currently, we are engaged in research, education, and practice based on the following three interests.
(1) Research on "community development in the future
I am interested in regional development and community design, mainly from the perspective of development anthropology and social innovation theory. In particular, from the perspective of "anarchic community development," I am considering what the future should be while relativizing current community development policies.
(ii) Research on the design of CBL
In approaching the topic of (1), I have been conducting SoTL (Scholarship of Teaching & Learning) on the system and teaching methods of CBL: Community-Based Learning).
(iii) Research on methodologies for applying cultural anthropology to society, regions, and organizations
In relation to (1) and (2), there has been a recent focus on applying the main methods of cultural anthropology, such as fieldwork and ethnographic analysis, to problem solving in the business and public sphere, and we are working on the development of such methods and research on the history of applied anthropological theories.
****
Based on these interests, at RCAST, I am in charge of research on Co-Creation of Well-being Community.
