Title: Recent Progress in Lightweight Metallic Materials and Ceramic
Abstract:Light weight, high strength structural materials are expected to play a significant role in the development of next-generation fuel-efficient aircraft and automobiles. In this presentation, we will discuss our recent progress in developing （1） nanostructured magnesium alloys for light weight structural applications, and (2) refractory carbide-based ceramic matrix composites for high temperature applications
